I am Ashley. I am a bilingual EMDR therapist who helps people heal from unhealthy relationships, anxiety, challenging childhoods, and other distressing experiences.
Coping skills can be helpful, but the clients I work with want to get to the root of their issues because other “band-aid” or temporary approaches haven’t worked. While the problems you face may feel heavy, I weave creativity, compassion, and humor into our work together so you can feel more peace and insight and less anxiety and depression. I believe the answers you are looking for are already inside of you and I am here to help you on the journey of self-discovery.
I enjoy working with both young adults and older adults as well as couples who are hoping to get insight into the “why” behind their issues and understand the “how” they can move towards peace, clarity, and confidence. The people I work with are often struggling with childhood or relational trauma and its effects, such as anxiety, relationship issues, feeling disconnected, depressed, or with low self-esteem. In our sessions, you'll explore the source of your issues, learn coping skills to manage your daily life, and get to a place of insight, increased confidence, and healthier relationships. Our work together will include attachment, parts work and IFS, EMDR, CBT, or Gottman, depending on your needs.
