Clinicians

Meet our clinicians!
  • Jacqueline Heiny, MS, LMHC (Owner)
    Bilingual in Spanish

My specialization and 20 yr exp. Is in helping professional couples communicate in a healthy and respectful manner and be able find the time for quality conversations and intimacy while reducing the resentment, defensiveness or stonewalling that could have developed over time from feeling neglected, unheard or from infidelity.

You both have worked hard for your careers and to build your successful businesses but now need some tools to reduce the tension in the relationship and you both dont have the energy to engage in what seems like never ending arguments for attention and help with the chores or with the children if they are still living at home. You also need time and space for yourself to unwind before engaging in topics that seem never ending.

I will help you both to feel heard and respected by verbalizing feelings and needs in a way and time that the other is able to be receptive. Im passionate to make a difference, to translate what Im hearing you both say so the other can hear you better. Im passionate to find solutions and not keep you both in counseling longer than you need.

In individual counseling I can help you with boundaries, heal and help you express yourself better with love ones or teens that never seem to listen and together we will work on reaching your life goals and explore your love language.

Im trained in EMDR therapy to reduce stress and anxiety from work, grief, infidelity or a childhood of abuse or neglect. My style is gently direct, mutually engaged with a touch of humor when appropriate and very down to earth.

    Personal:

Im Hispanic and Catholic from NYC and pursued real estate sales and law before finding my calling in counseling and changing lives and mine in the process. Been married 18 years to a great man who is an executive as an electric engineer. We both have grown children and now puppies to love.

If we are not watching relationship shows to discuss them together or psychological thrillers, we are traveling to NC or boating.

When I’m not working, you can find me on some adventure with my son, Jayden, or with my friends. I enjoy crafting, organizing, discovering new restaurants, or curled up on the couch with a good read learning something new.

    • Ashley Constanzo, Registered Intern

      Bilingual in Spanish

I am Ashley. I am a bilingual EMDR therapist who helps people heal from unhealthy relationships, anxiety, challenging childhoods, and other distressing experiences.

Coping skills can be helpful, but the clients I work with want to get to the root of their issues because other “band-aid” or temporary approaches haven’t worked. While the problems you face may feel heavy, I weave creativity, compassion, and humor into our work together so you can feel more peace and insight and less anxiety and depression. I believe the answers you are looking for are already inside of you and I am here to help you on the journey of self-discovery.

I enjoy working with both young adults and older adults as well as couples who are hoping to get insight into the “why” behind their issues and understand the “how” they can move towards peace, clarity, and confidence. The people I work with are often struggling with childhood or relational trauma and its effects, such as anxiety, relationship issues, feeling disconnected, depressed, or with low self-esteem. In our sessions, you'll explore the source of your issues, learn coping skills to manage your daily life, and get to a place of insight, increased confidence, and healthier relationships. Our work together will include attachment, parts work and IFS, EMDR, CBT, or Gottman, depending on your needs.

    • Maria C, Registered Intern

I believe that therapy benefits everyone. Therapy will help guide you to answers to questions from the past, present, or future, that may not seem readily available. It is essential to know that everyone is worthy of understanding one's feelings. In times when darkness takes reign, there is an opportunity to find the light within yourself before it takes a mental, spiritual, and physical toll. I hope to be that person that may guide you.

In the safety of our session, I will provide a safe, open-minded, and nonjudgmental space where you can freely discuss your experiences and emotions. I believe you are the expert on your story; therefore, the floor will be yours to explore at your comfort and pace. I understand healing can be painful and uncomfortable but overall worthwhile.

I am excited to learn more about each individual and their unique experiences. I believe that significant hardship doesn't overshadow your everyday struggles If you feel you want to talk and clear any possible cobwebs alongside an empathetic person within a comfortable space, I would be honored for you to work with me.
