Jacqueline Heiny, MS, LMHC (Owner)Bilingual in Spanish
I'm a CBT and EMDR clinician with specialization in couples, self growth, teens and trauma with 20 yr exp.Helping couples communicate in a healthy and respectful manner and be able find the time for quality conversations and intimacy while reducing the resentment, defensiveness or stonewalling that could have developed over time from feeling neglected, unheard or from infidelity.
You both have worked hard for your careers but now need some tools to reduce the tension in the relationship and you both don't have the energy to engage in what seems like never ending arguments for attention to get help with the chores or with the children. You BOTH need time and space for yourself to unwind before engaging in topics that seem never ending.
I will help you both to feel heard and respected by verbalizing feelings and needs in a way and time that the other is able to be receptive. Im passionate to make a difference, to translate what Im hearing you both say so the other can hear you better. Im passionate to find solutions and not keep you both in counseling longer than you need.
In individual counseling I can help you with boundaries, heal and help you express yourself better with love ones or teens that never seem to listen and together we will work on reaching your life goals and explore your love language.
Im trained in EMDR therapy to reduce stress and anxiety from work, grief, infidelity or a childhood of abuse or neglect. My style is gently direct, mutually engaged with a touch of humor when appropriate and very down to earth.
Personal:
Im Hispanic and Catholic from NYC and pursued real estate sales and law before finding my calling in counseling and changing lives and mine in the process. Been married 18 years to a great man who is an executive as an electric engineer. We both have grown children and now puppies to love.If we are not watching relationship shows to discuss them together or psychological thrillers, we are traveling to NC or boating.

I believe that therapy benefits everyone. Therapy will help guide you to answers to questions from the past, present, or future, that may not seem readily available. It is essential to know that everyone is worthy of understanding one's feelings. In times when darkness takes reign, there is an opportunity to find the light within yourself before it takes a mental, spiritual, and physical toll. I hope to be that person that may guide you.
In the safety of our session, I will provide a safe, open-minded, and nonjudgmental space where you can freely discuss your experiences and emotions. I believe you are the expert on your story; therefore, the floor will be yours to explore at your comfort and pace. I understand healing can be painful and uncomfortable but overall worthwhile.
I am excited to learn more about each individual and their unique experiences. I believe that significant hardship doesn't overshadow your everyday struggles If you feel you want to talk and clear any possible cobwebs alongside an empathetic person within a comfortable space, I would be honored for you to work with me. -

Deanne Schulz , Registered Intern
I help people who are struggling in their relationships with a partner or family member. Research shows that our happiness in life depends most on our closeness to the people around us. If you're in a deteriorating relationship, it can be torture - with feelings of anger, sadness, guilt, confusion or frustration. For some, it plays out with constant conflicts, fights, and boundaries crossed. For others, it's avoidance...pretending the problem doesn't exist, while things get worse and worse. I work with individuals, couples, parents, adult children, in-laws, and step-families looking for solutions to make life easier and more peaceful. I have two master's degrees (Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Communication). I'm trained in a variety of approaches, and I have 20 years’ experience teaching college classes and business workshops in conflict communication.

Amanda Zicca, Grad student
Hi, I’m Amanda. I am a graduate student intern in CMHC at the University of Central Florida. I value helping clients through their thoughts, feelings, and emotions while also supporting them through life transitions, relationship hurdles, and identity exploration. I believe it’s important to recognize the range of emotions we experience and not frame emotions as “bad” or getting rid of them but instead recognize them as a normal part of life even if unwanted at times. I emphasize the use of holistic wellbeing and meeting you where you are in your healing journey to establish a genuine rapport, understand your perceptions of the world, and curate individualized therapy. Our first few sessions will be about gathering information and building our foundation together so we can begin navigating challenges and help you evolve toward your goals. I look forward to connecting with you soon!

Thank you for being here, my name is Uswa. I am an intern pursuing my Masters in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy at UCF. I have dedicated my education and training to becoming a well-rounded counselor student at your disposal. Cultural competency has always been a priority for me. I value an integrated systems approach as well as delving into faith-based discussion when needed. I believe our relationships are what make us who we are whether that be with a caregiver or a romantic partner. I have a very direct approach to counseling, with open-minded reflection to rectify and unify.
