Nicole Chacho is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) with her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She completed a 1,000-hour internship at Orlando Health on the inpatient rehabilitation floor addressing the client’s cognitive, emotional, psychosocial, and behavioral abilities and health in both English and Spanish settings. In addition to her work in inpatient rehabilitation, she has clinical experience from involvement at Quality Living Inc. Brain and Spinal Cord Specialists, Communication Disorders Clinic at UCF, Boys Town Behavioral Health Center, and has participated in multiple volunteer and relief services across Latin America and Eastern Europe.



Nicole has received specialized training in the areas of recent or long-term disability, family therapy following traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, aphasia, chronic pain, trauma and trauma-related disorders (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. Nicole enjoys working with clients and families on strategies to improve overall functioning and quality of life utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches, such as cognitive rehabilitation, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
