I began working in the field of mental health in 2003, as a Crisis Counselor for individuals experiencing crisis and/or having suicidal ideation. During my career, I have provided extensive services to clients experiencing a vast array of mental health issues such as mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. I have specialized experience working with individuals who are recovering from childhood trauma, sexual trauma, narcissistic abuse, toxic relationships, eating disorders, OCD, self-harm, and addictions (substance use disorders as well as process addictions such as sex and shopping).
I have also worked with many special populations throughout my career. Some of these include: families in crisis, homeless women and children, Jewish clients, people experiencing intergenerational and religious trauma, Veterans, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those experiencing postpartum depression.
Most recently, I spent two years working at a residential treatment center that offers primary mental health and substance abuse services to adults with a strong focus on healing from trauma. While there, I had the opportunity to assess and treat clients by providing individual, group, and family therapy.
I am currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. I received my MSW from UCF. I also hold an MS in Management, as well as a BS in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies, both from the University of Florida.
My goal is to provide you with a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic experience where you feel respected and comfortable being your authentic self. We can work together to understand and process the past and present in a way that is both helpful and meaningful, allowing you to move forward with confidence and a belief in your own abilities.
